Kelly Kaur

Kelly Kaur grew up in Singapore and lives in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Her novel, Letters to Singapore was launched in Canada and at Asia’s Ubud Writers Festival in Bali, Indonesia. Her works have been published internationally: Understorey Magazine, Blindman Session Beer Cans, Best Asian Stories 2020, Let in the Light Anthology, Asia, Best Asian Poetry 2021-2022, International Human Rights Arts Festival, New York (2021 and 2022), Growing Up Indian (Singapore 2022), The North Dakota Human Rights Arts Festival Travelling Exhibition 2022 and 2023, and Landed: Transformative Stories of Canadian Immigrant Women (2022).  Kelly’s poems will be choreographed to dance by Voices Dance Project, Ottawa (2023). Her poetry has also been published in the FOLD (Festival of Literary Diversity) 2023 Festival Program. Her work was awarded the Honorable Mention - Creators of Justice Literary Awards, International Human Rights Art Festival, New York, published in Fragmented Voice, Heart/h, U.K., and it was nominated for the Pushcart Prize 2022. Kelly was shortlisted across Canada for the Top 25 Canadian Immigrants Awards 2023. Her Letters to Singapore will be on the Lunar Codex project: on the NOVA Mission One in 2023 and the Griffin Mission One in 2024.
